Within the Glasshouse: 40 guests private dining & 40 guests standing reception
Amongst the Flower Beds: 50 guests for drinks reception & dining
Stretch Tent within the Garden: Up to 150 guests for drinks reception
Marquee for drinks reception & dining: Up to 250 guests
Weddings: Up to 120 with dining at the Castle, or 250 guests with a marquee

No, however, Dalmeny Train Station is just 5 minutes by taxi or 20 20-minute walk.
We are located just a 15-minute drive from Edinburgh International Airport and just 7 miles from Edinburgh city centre. We are located in a gated estate, and best driven to. Directions and access code can be provided by our events team upon booking a site visit or event.
As we are an outdoor events space, The Walled Garden can be hired from May to the end of August only, as this is when the Garden is in its best seasonal condition & full bloom.
Our slate tables are provided with hire of the GlassHouse, Chairs are required to be hired & if hosting your event within the Garden itself, furniture must be hired.
We do not have any PA for music or any additional lighting, or heating. There is power onsite; however, any of these requirements must be hired in. Uplighting within the GlassHouse is provided
Any additional set-up days you require will be charged for at a full day rate. We have x2 toilets within the GlassHouse, if over 50 guests, additional toilets must be hired in. Furniture & bars must also be hired.
Yes, we have parking onsite & access for up to 50-seater coaches.
We have specific suppliers to be used for hire of marquees, stretch tents, lighting/sound & toilets. However, we do welcome your own suppliers for services such as décor, music, etc. We also have a recommended suppliers list, which we can provide.
Anything and everything! Our exclusive hire The Walled Garden is perfect for anything, such as a wedding, foodie experiences, wellness retreat, parties, private medicinal garden tours or experiences, drinks tastings or tours, drinks receptions and private dining. Our beautiful gardens are also ideal for outdoor team-building activities or a BBQ!
We can host a wide variety of events depending on your brief, and our events team would be happy to provide a bespoke costing. Our rates do not include VAT.
Yes, the Gardens are accessible to enter from each of our entrances, as it is all flat ground. Wheelchair accessible WC facilities are available in the GlassHouse & can be entered via a ramp at the back of the building.

Catering and Bar
We have the great privilege at Rosebery Estates of working with Scotland’s most celebrated event chefs. The Rosebery Culinary team will help you deliver a menu to satisfy the most discerning of guests’ palates. Many of our ingredients are grown and sourced directly from Dalmeny’s very own Walled Garden, meaning that your menu is provided from estate to plate!
As our catering team is in-house, we do not allow any external caterers on-site.
Yes, we have a range of different catering packages to suit different requirements for dinners, buffets, food stations & more. Our catering packages will include your food and beverages, staffing costs and also linens and tableware. Upgrades are available to add as a supplement.
No, a bar is required to be hired in for your event, which our in-house catering team can provide and arrange for you. Bars can also be set up within the GlassHouse.

Everything Else
No, this is an exclusive-use event venue only. We can help you with local and Edinburgh-based accommodation providers. Please enquire with your Events Manager.
We do not have any camping facilities. However, can recommend some local campsites.
Yes, an Events Manager, Operations Manager & Event Stewards are provided for your event within your hire. Catering Managers & staff will be included in your catering quote.
