The Venue

What is the maximum capacity of the venue?

60 guests.

How many guests can you accommodate onsite?

Rosebery House does not have any accommodation onsite. There are several local hotels and B&Bs that we can recommend, just a short drive away.

Are you accessible via public transport?

No, however, Gorebridge Train Station is just 7 minutes away. We can also recommend local taxi companies for runs to Edinburgh City Centre.

Do you include tables and chairs?

Yes, we have Bespoke rustic trestle tables and cross-back chairs for you to use.

Do you have a PA system for background music/speeches?

We have an integrated Kef audio system for playback music and wireless two microphones for the speeches.

Do you have parking for our guests?

Yes, we have parking for up to 25 cars.

Can we use our own suppliers?

Yes, we also have a recommended suppliers list that we can send to you if needed.

Can we get married outside?

The Lawn area is perfect for an outdoor ceremony.

What time will our evening reception need to finish?

Midnight.

Can we have a fire pit?

Yes, managed by the Rosebery Team, we will ensure that the courtyard is a cosy space on those colder Scottish evenings.

Is there a church nearby?

We have a chapel within the grounds of Rosebery House available to use for wedding ceremonies. We also have several local churches within a 20-minute drive of Rosebery Steading.

Catering and Bar

Can we use external caterers or supply food ourselves?

We have a catering panel which consists of four of Scotland’s finest caterers: Wild Thyme, Stocks Events, The Edinburgh Catering Company, and Platter & Pop to cater for your event.

Do you have an in-house bar, or can we provide our own drinks?

Your bar will be run by our catering team. They all offer flexible bar options and competitively priced drinks packages, and an option to provide your own table wine & fizz, with a service charge to cover chilling, serving staff, glassware etc.

Everything Else

Can we have candles?

Yes, real candles are allowed on tabletops during dinner. All other candle décor must be LED.

Can we bring our own lawn games/activities?

Yes, we have the perfect lawn area for mini golf and garden games!

Can our guests camp at the venue?

We do not have any camping facilities. However, can recommend some local campsites.

Can we have confetti?

Real dried flower petals are permitted and make the best confetti shots!

Can we let off fireworks?

We have an approved supplier who can provide low-noise fireworks. These are as impressive as a standard firework, just without the loud explosions when they open. You may also opt for a laser light show or a fire dance performance.

Are you dog or pet friendly?

Dogs are welcome to come along for photographs and join any outdoor ceremonies or receptions!
