Each is available on an exclusive-use basis, giving you complete privacy and the freedom to shape the occasion around your guests.
Selected dates are available throughout late November and December (and indeed January for those interested in a gathering after the busy period).
Christmas at Barnbougle Castle
Set on the shores of the Firth of Forth, just outside Edinburgh, Barnbougle Castle provides a remarkable setting for an elegant festive celebration.Guests can arrive to Champagne and canapés before exploring the Castle’s historic rooms and taking their seats for dinner in the magnificent Banqueting Hall. Candlelight, seasonal styling and winter views across the water create an atmosphere that feels both grand and wonderfully intimate.

Celebrations can include a bespoke festive menu, carefully selected wines, live music, after-dinner entertainment and dancing. Private coach transfers from central Edinburgh can also be arranged.Barnbougle Castle can accommodate up to 140 guests for dinner, with smaller gatherings arranged across its characterful reception and dining rooms.
Christmas at Rosebery Steading
Surrounded by the countryside of Rosebery Estate, the Steading offers a warm and atmospheric setting for a more relaxed festive gathering.
The venue lends itself beautifully to generous winter feasts, drinks around the fire, live music, ceilidhs and celebrations that continue into the evening. Its private courtyard and rural estate setting provide a strong sense of arrival while remaining within easy reach of Edinburgh.
