Opened in 2025, this exceptional event space has been thoughtfully designed to provide a gorgeous backdrop for a wide range of occasions. Nestled within the picturesque Dalmeny Estate, the Walled Garden provides a serene and intimate space while boasting all the modern amenities needed for a memorable celebration.

A historic gem reimagined for today
Dating back to 1818, The Walled Garden is deeply rooted in the heritage of Dalmeny Estate. Designed by esteemed Edinburgh garden designer John Hay, the expansive walled garden with 20-foot-high walls was dedicated to fruit and vegetable production for the Primrose family and their guests. Today, the garden, along with its magnificent suite of greenhouses, has been meticulously restored, preserving its historical character while integrating modern conveniences, including space for marquees, electrical fittings for DJ decks, and a dedicated area for the all-important bar!
A tailored event in a dream setting
The garden itself is perfect for al-fresco dining, with its surroundings providing a naturally stunning backdrop. Larger gatherings can be accommodated with a marquee within the garden walls, offering extra space while still allowing guests to enjoy the very Instagrammable garden. A stretch tent with a capacity of 150 can also be made available on request. For more intimate events, the restored 1905 teak greenhouse is the perfect choice for dinners or receptions at any time of the year.

Great British Vermouth
The glass house is perfect for cocktail hours or relaxed receptions. It adds a contemporary touch to the historic setting, offering guests a stylish place to enjoy drinks and socialise.
With room for a bar set up of your choice, guests can try and savour our signature pour, Wermod Great British Vermouth. Handcrafted in small batches right here on Dalmeny Estate, this exquisite vermouth is made using foraged herbs and flowers from across the estate, including those from within the garden itself! Such is a rare opportunity to enjoy a drink crafted from the very land on which you stand!
